MIKE TOTH
Investigative experience. Judgment. Perspective.
Mike Toth brings experience as a law enforcement investigator, sheriff and private investigator to the analysis of complex cases, investigative decisions, fraud and financial exploitation.
His approach begins with a simple principle: good investigations depend on asking the right questions, challenging assumptions and following the evidence wherever it leads.
Investigative Judgment & Strategy | Major Case Analysis | Fraud, Scams & Financial Exploitation
Experience From Every Side of an Investigation
Mike has worked investigations from several perspectives: as a deputy sheriff, police officer, major property crimes detective, Sheriff of Mineral County, Montana, and private investigator.
Since founding Elite Investigations in 2010, he has worked on criminal defense matters, fraud investigations, case reviews and complex civil cases. That breadth of experience informs how he evaluates evidence, identifies unanswered questions and assesses investigative decisions.
The questions that guide his approach are straightforward:
What do we actually know?
How do we know it?
What are we assuming?
What has not been independently verified?
What are we missing?
